What is Nitaqat and why does it matter for my resume?
Nitaqat is the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources program that sets Saudization quotas for private employers. Some enterprise ATS systems in Saudi Arabia scan resumes for nationality and localization fields as part of Nitaqat-related compliance tracking.
Why do Hijri dates cause problems in ATS systems?
Most enterprise ATS platforms are built to parse Gregorian calendar dates. A resume listing employment dates only in the Hijri calendar can fail automatic date parsing, which sometimes causes experience duration to be calculated incorrectly or ignored entirely.
